Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously was a part of the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) and the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 to 2020. Psaki started her professional career in 2001 when she worked on the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was appointed John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director of Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. In the year 2000, Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. There was speculation that she was going to replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary when he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her appointment by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as Carney's replacement on May 30th, 2014. She was named communications director in the White House and continued to do so until the end in 2015.
