Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. Her leading role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the end of the seventh season, the show was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She also starred in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was teacher and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian, with English heritage. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said she attends Passover seders.
